A historic moment. The State Theatre Košice, its productions, creators and artists performing in them received eight nominations at DOSKY Awards 2022 that is taking place after two-year „pandemic“ break. Theatre awards of the season. The DOSKY poll is announced by the Contemporary Theatre Association.
The Dosky Awards is a recognition of creative achievements in a field of professional theatre in Slovakia in all genres : drama, opera, musical, puppet theatre, ballet, contemporary dance. The DOSKY is awarded to individuals, regardless of creators nationality, for artistic performances, premiered at theatres in Slovakia in a previous season ( premieres from 1st August 2021 to 31st July 2022 ). In this year, thirty-six critics, theoreticians and publicists took part in the electronic voting, as informed by the Theatre Institute Bratislava.

Outstanding Act in Dance Theatre
- Andrej Petrovič and co. for a dance production Ecstasy / Pictures About Her , Ballet of State Theatre Košice
Outstanding Act in Musical Theatre
- Peter Berger for a singing performance in opera production Werther by Jules Massenet, Opera of State Theatre Košice
- Eva Bodorová for singing performance as Queen Elizabeth of England in opera Roberto Devereux by Geatano Donizetti, Opera of State Theatre Košice
- Peter Mazalán for a concept and direction of project I Have Enough / Ich Habe Genug, Kuntsplay o.z. in cooperation with State Theatre Košice and Slovak National Theatre Bratislava
Best Stage Music of the Season
- Vladislav Šarišský for music in the production Ecstasy / Pictures About Her, Ballet of State Theatre Košice
Best Costume of the Season
- Boris Hanečka for costumes in opera production Tosca by Giacomo Puccini, Opera of State Theatre Košice
Best Direction of the Season
- Andrej Petrovič for direction of Ecstasy / Pictures About Her, Ballet of State Theatre Košice
Best Production of the Season
- Ecstasy / Pictures About Her directed and choreographed by Andrej Petrovič, Ballet of State Theatre Košice
Award holders of DOSKY 2022, winners of individual categories will receive them at the ceremony of 25th annual, on 24th October at the Teatro Colorato on Franciscan Square in Bratislava.
