Akram Khan and Tamara Rojo teamed up to perform Dust as part of the English National Ballet's production Lest We Forget, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the First World War. Akram Khan's work Dust focuses on the empowerment o women during the war, especially when they became the main workforce of the country

Kaash

Akram Khan collaborated with renowned talents Anish Kapoor and Nitin Sawhney to present the first full-lenght work of the Akram Khan Company. "Hindi gods, black holes, Indian time cycles, tabla, creation and destruction," were starting points for this piece in 2002. Kaash (the Hindi word for "if only") continued Akram Khan's quest to build bridgesbetween the world of contemporary dance and the classical Indian dance form Kathak.
