Krútňava is a dramatic and psychological story set in Slovakia, featuring an original theme of sin and forgiveness, comprised of six scenes. The typical plot of two men's love for one woman, the murder of a rival out of jealousy, a wedding, the birth of a child, the protagonist's haunting conscience, and the final catharsis bringing reconciliation and forgiveness. The NDKE Opera presents this piece to mark the 75th anniversary of Krútňava's premiere in December 1949.
