One of the first guests in newly opened P.O.Hviezdoslav Theatre in Bratislava will be the Ballet of State Theatre Košice. On Friday, 3rd February, they will perform there the original dance production by choreographer Andrej Petrovič ECSTASY/PICTURES ABOUT HER, awarded with two Dosky 2022 theatre awards in categories Outstanding Act in Dance Theatre and Best Stage Music. The production portrays different forms of a woman inspired by the moon phases, which is a magical gateaway to the cycle of birth and also to rebirth. The phenomenon of feminity and the female body in various conventional and unconventional roles is the center of production, which is dominated by images of ecstatic strenght, love, the ability to sacrifice, indescribable pain and determination to keep going. The intentions to constantly carry the light, but also not to fear the darkness, which often reveals the truth.
