The story of Sára Salkházi is proving to be a strong testimony of time, place and time. It is intrinsically connected with Košice. A woman with her hands in her pockets, as she called herself, made an indelible mark on the history of the city. Sára Salkházi was an intellectual from a good and secure family. She lived the bohemian life of a journalist, but she underwent a great rebirth and became a martyr of the faith. Her strong social feelings, kindness and curiosity were manifested in every action, at work, in interests and writing. Articles written by this girl under the name Sifax were read and discussed by people. She could have chosen the easier way of the hotelier's daughter, but dissatisfaction forced her to look for another place and another, perhaps even more difficult, path. She worked as a teacher, bookbinder, worker, even a hat-maker, but only at the age of 29 did she find her true profession. It was in the Society of Social Sisters. What were Sára Salkházi's inner struggles like? And what fruits of spiritual labor did she lay on the altar of faith? During the Second World War II, she helped many defenseless and persecuted people. Her life was ended by a Nazi bullet.
The production is not only a spiritual reflection, but also a look at the contemporary testimony of faith, humility and love of man for man in the time of rage.
